Chapter 8: Father Coughlin - Fomenting Anti-Semitism via the Radio

Father Caughlin did not like Jews.  He defended the Nazis "persecution" of Jews.  After some comments were made on the radio by Father Coughlin, some radio stations did not want to be associated with him anymore.  They said his remarks were disgraceful.

I decided to chose this chapter because I am Jewish myself and i think it is important for people to realize that Anti-semitism is still out there and people still hate Jews.  I didn't grow up during the worst time of the hatred like the Holocaust but when you watch the news today, in 2011 soon to be 2012 there are stories of property, houses, cars, being vandalized just because someone is Jewish.

    Did you read Night by Elie Wiesel? It is absolutely amazing. Heartbreaking, but amazing.

    Yea, I read both Night and Maus in high school. I thought they fit perfect with the chapter topic. I really enjoyed reading those books especially Night.
